Didactic Relief


Didactic year is tough. One recent grad declared that if he had a choice to re-do his didactic year or get shot in the head, he'd take the bullet every time! ;-)

HELP is possible: Alumni can offer significant relief to students in the Class of 2012 in the Center for Physician Assistant Studies. It involves a brief moment of clinical exposure, a reality to come, just beyond the didactic year.

If you are interested, Alumni are available for an extracurricular exercise, as ONE DAY of clinical shadowing. No touching of patients, but no obligation to perform independently. No student evaluation, but no limit to questioning.

The offer is well circumscribed: one student, for one day, by personal arrangement, sometime between 10/1/10 and 9/30/11.

To arrange such a day, students should individually contact one of these Physician Assistants, practicing in New York's greater Capital District, who have offered to make themselves available to current students:
